DescriptionA stunning piece from Richard Powers for the mass market paperback cover (1982) of Robert Heinlein's The Number of the Beast. Powers created a HUGE amount of work for these Beast releases -- a LARGE wraparound cover painting for the trade paperback (1980) plus 54 black & white interior illustration, and then this painting for the mass market release.So now I have BOTH of the Beast cover paintings (see additional images below). I guess I just need the remaining 54 interiors ;) This piece has also appeared The Art of Richard Powers and The Frank Collection 30 x 20 oil and acrylic Social/Sharing |

This is a killer, John--really amazing to see, so congratulations! I've been greatly enjoying spending some time looking at all of your beautiful Powers paintings this afternoon--what an incredible collection you've put together!

great piece, loved hearing Kim's story about the UPS guy not wanting to step inside to help her get the package in the house!
