DescriptionAn April 2017 recreation by the dynamic Bruce McCorkindale of Curt Swan & George Klein's SUPERMAN #164 cover - one that fired my imagination as a kid covering a story that still holds up today! Bruce commented about George Klein, "I have a weird history with Klein - my first exposure to him was inking Gene Colan on AVENGERS! I always liked his stuff, but it felt a little weird to me at the time - almost mechanical. It was quite a revelation for me to find out later that Klein (and many other guys) were first at DC! I was always a Marvel kid, so I saw everything through that lens. I think Klein's Marvel stuff is fine, but I think he really shines with the DC guys."Pen, brush and ink on 13 X 20" bristol board.
