The Flash #39 Sketch Cover - The Flash vs. Zoom Part 03

Now we're on to Zoom. The costume itself presents a challenge given that it's a speedster on steroids. The lightning motif is out of control on this suit, which makes for difficulty in ensuring the lines go in the right places and the leather-cloth pattern is retained, which is what I did for Barry's suit. The best course to go regarding coloring is cool gray tones, with of course a dose of black to convey the "unstoppable demon with a face of death" feel. At this point I've been lucky with my trusty micron pens and a copy of The Art of The Flash that I bought from Indigo that thankfully offers a turnaround of the stunt performer in the suit. The material is different on Zoom's costume, but follows similar structure. Like Barry's I intend to use white prismacolor to get shine where needed.
