Burrows drew the Ritzy Rosey one-panel cartoon from 1927 to 1928. She started a new but stylistically related series, Flapper Filosofy, from January 28, 1929 to February 13, 1936. Around 1929, Burrows married Jerrold A. Swank. And another related strip, the Beautyettes, was started in 1932 and attributed to Aldine Swank. This was a Burrows pseudonym; Aldine was likely the middle name of her husband. She moved into her husband’s film production business in the late 1930s and does not have more cartoon work after that point.

The Burrows strip competed for space with a well-established and similarly styled strip called Flapper Fanny Says (1924) by Ethel Hays, one of the women who popularized the flapper look and lifestyle.

These strips ran during the flapper era of the 1920s into the early 1930s. Each panel exhibited a flapper wearing one of the current fashions,with a witticism typed at the bottom. Burrows drew her panels at an image size of 3" × 6" on Bristol boards measuring 3½" × 6½". These are truly representative "of a time."
