I bought tonal paper years ago and finally decided to try it out. This is my 1st time ever using #copics on it and it was fun and the paper absorbed ink like Ive never experienced b4 and never want to go back, but white paper doesnt act this way ( sounds pacist, paper racist)

I went with up lighting to help with the power ambiance to help make her feel more dramatic. The fire on her shoulder is prob my fav part, it was planned ahead of time to have it there and very little white paint was used to create that effect. Her hair was also fun because I faded the black ink lines towards the back to help with the fade.
Movement and shadows were the two key elements I had in mind b4 I started this one and want to do more moody pieces with more light contrast. Lets see what the future holds.
