This page is an essay in the comic artist's craft. Close-up each pen stroke seems rough and impressionistic, but reduced to the published page size, these marks coalesce into the incredible detail for which Colquhoun was known. At this point he had been producing 3-4 pages a week of this quality for over 5 years...
