Optimus Prime, Brawn, Omega Supreme and Sunstreaker by Joel Carroll

This was an idea that I've I had for Joel to draw for a while, and I decided to give him a short break from drawing Legion characters so that he could draw some Transformers for me! For this commission I chose my four favorite Autobots and had Joel draw them as the toys actually looked AND as they appeared in the cartoons and comics. Optimus Prime was an obvious pick. I did not own an Optimus figure for a long time, but my step-brother did, so I got to play with his. Years later I bought an Optimus of my own and I still have it! Brawn was actually the second Transformer I ever owned, and I loved him so much. I remember that his file card said that he was the second strongest Autobot, and so I always played with him as if that was still true. Yes, that meant he was stronger than Metroplex and all of the other giant Autobots! And speaking of giant Autobots, I received Omega Supreme as a Christmas present one year and he was just about the coolest gift ever! I loved the rocket base that he transformed into as well. And finally, Sunstreaker was the first mid-size Transformer that I ever owned, and I thought that his shoulder rockets and car mode (Lamborghini!) were the most awesome things ever. I also thought it was neat that he had a twin bother, Sideswipe, because of course robots should have siblings! Anyway, Joel captured each version of these characters perfectly! Joel is a master at drawing robots and I love the little details like Sunstreaker's smirk and the gun coming up behind Omega Supreme's head. As usual, I cannot recommend Joel enough for commissions!
