I was so enamored with the cover art for Six Guns #2, that I was initially not very interested in this one. God, am I glad my friend Nick Katradis talked me into buying this one as well. The ink wash rendering by artist Butch Guice is exquisite in the extreme. In person, this art for this piece is simply breathtaking, to say the least. Guice's mastery of this medium is amazing.

Original cover art for Six Guns #4 (Marvel Comics, 2012) by the super talented, Butch Guice (pencils and inks wash). Superb close-up image of The Two-Gun Kid for the story entitled, "Fly the Friendly Skies!" The synopsis for this tale includes gunslingers closing in on Tarantula - the renegade femme fatale, while powerful forces conspire to bring a war to San Diablo. Only one misfit band of gunslingers can prevent it, as long as they don't kill each other first.

"This was a great 5-part Marvel mini-series that just finished up last month; I enjoyed the story and the interior art; But the covers, drawn and inked by Butch Guice, are absolutely breathtaking! Butch reinvented himself the past few years - his art is incredible; Butch uses a wash-tone technique similar to the one used by Steve Epting; This story is about Marvel gunslingers: Tarantula, Tex Dawson, Black Rider, Matt Slade and the Two-Gun Kid - Marvel gives them a modern-day makeover in 2012; This hard-bitten tale of blood and bullets is by the DAREDEVIL: REBORN team of Andy Diggle and Davide Gianfelice.
