Last week I tried not to focus on the darker side of the world we live in by posting about the World Series instead of the terror attack in NYC. Turns out I was only delaying the inevitable. Once again horror and tragedy have struck and there is no sticking our heads in the sand this time. Yes, I know light will overcome darkness. And love will win over hate. But with this string of senseless killings (first Vegas, then NYC, and now Texas), it is getting more and more difficult to remember that. It would seem that the obvious question is, when will it stop? But I�m afraid the question has now become, whose community is next? Yours? Mine? I wish I had an answer. Any answer. But keep in mind the keyword here is �senseless�. So as always, we are left with only more questions.

When I left work on Friday, I was pretty excited about the artwork I was going to post Monday. But all that passion and enthusiasm have been sucked out of me. Maybe I�ll post tomorrow, or later in the week. Maybe even wait until next week. But for now, please send your prayers to the community of Sutherland Springs and all the people affected by this devastating tragedy. God bless.

Thank you for your post of compassion here. We should all always remember that this is the primary point of light we have in this darkness, because our compassion for each other is what keeps us human and makes life worth living, and holds back our reversion to savagery. And we need action from our lawmakers now. Too many weapons are somehow passing into the hands of troubled people who shouldn't have them.
