Description

Original Steve Mannion artwork from a story called CHICKS ON BOMBS, published in the mid-1990s. This is some of Steve’s earliest published work, and while his style has evolved over the years, all the elements that make Steve such an amazing and unique talent are evident here. Influences of Wally Wood, EC Comics/Mad Magazine, and Will Eisner coupled with Steve’s unique brand of humor and enthusiasm for the medium, make for a wonderful piece of comic book art. Beautiful inks and line work, the usual Steve Mannion attention to detail where there is something going on in just about every corner of every panel, and nice use of Zip-a-Tone throughout give this page incredible artistic depth. An underrated talent.
