Description
Page 7 to the 8-page story THE SPECTRE IN THE CASTLE which features the cover scene on it, a woman in bed getting spooked by a ghost (Uncle Enus!!!), as well as a lurking zombie grabbing the woman over the mouth and abducting her. This CRIME PATROL issue and story was just the second horror issue that EC Comics created, and this issue was the very last issue of Crime Patrol, and the very start of the horror genre of comics at EC. Issue 17 was re-titled "The Crypt of Terror" and finally "Tales from the Crypt", by which point the horror genre had become predominant. CRIME PATROL #16 also featured the 2nd appearance of "The Crypt Keeper." Eek!

Equal parts campy and twisted, love it.
