Description

This took the longest time to complete but it was a joy. I was a fan of Emma Stone's version of Gwen Stacy moreso than Bryce Dallas Howard's for the Maguire era. When a client won a sketch cover auction and requested it, it required a lot of photo referencing to get the right angle for both the face of Emma and city scape around her. I think I was influenced by the first Spider-Man poster back in 2002. Besides the face, the challenge was the perspective and the miniscule civillians below. Etched on blank cover with mixed media, I think this is one of those projects where I had the most fun on, albeit taking an insurmountable amount of time. For the new year I'll oblige to work faster.
