HERCULES Graphic Novel Full Circle Page 57 by Bob Layton

A great page from the Bob Layton Hercules trilogy, this time from the final graphic novel.

Hercules was a strong favorite of mine as a kid and young teen. Well written with touches of fun and serious danger for the characters and superbly drawn and inked by mr Layton whose style I immediately responded to. And then there is the sci-fi and even more the mythological connection which also spoke a lot to me.

This may be my favorite project that he did for those reasons as Hercules was easier to access/understand for my young self than his heavy continuity Iron Man runs however great they are.

Here we have a quiet page but with the full cast of the serie, Herc’ with many great shots of him, the skrull and the recorder. The acting of the characters is very nice with Hercules being his usual over confident self but also being ominous when talking about his son. The others react well to his words.

The nice plus is that the lettering is drawn in on the page and not pasted which makes the page easier to preserve.

One of my last purchases of 2017 and thanks to Eddie for an easy and pleasant transaction.
