Judge Dredd Day of Chaos: Judge Fear

As with my other Day of Chaos commissions, I had asked the artist, 2000ad legend Colin MacNeil in this case, if there was a particular part of this tale that he had enjoyed drawing, that he would now like to revisit.

After some pondering - and then having to look back through his work, when nothing immediately sprung to mind - he narrowed it down to one single panel.

"It's quite a small insignificant panel, but I do like it. There's just, to me, something about the light area against the black on Fear's helmet. Especially in relation to how his eye slits are proportioned.
It's a very simple image, but I want to render it slightly differently. I think it'll work, a bit of an experiment, a lot of lines, though it should end up looking good."

So with that, we was good to go.

And I think Colin pulled it off, and then some. I myself certainly couldn't be any happier with the end results.
