Description

Dan Smith was an amazing golden-age Illustration artist, relatively unknown until Al Williamson starting singing his praises a few years back. After that, lots of other artists starting jumping on the Dan Smith bandwagon. Thing is, Smith’s art is extremely hard to find — and his painted pieces are as rare as hen’s teeth. So, I couldn’t be happier to add this second Dan Smith piece to the collection. This was published in 1910 in the book Lays and Lyrics, by Carter Cold. Inscription reads, “eons pass, but every Hebrew maid hopeful waits and listens yearning. . .” Art is a nice size, 16” x 9”.
