RANGERS COMICS #22 pg 4 "Glory Forbes" by George Tuska

I'm a sucker for these old Fiction House pages, this one coming from RANGERS COMICS #22 and featuring very early art by one of the under-appreciated industry greats, George Tuska! This slapstick page came from the Glory Forbes feature in this issue. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.25" x 18" (large art). I love that it's also signed by Tuska in the bottom right corner. After cutting his teeth on MASTER COMICS and CAPTAIN MARVEL for Fawcett, George drew various pre-code crime comics, illustrated the Scorchy Smith and Buck Rogers comic strips, and would later be known for his work on IRON MAN for Marvel (a book he worked on for almost a decade). I really enjoyed his work on various SUPERMAN-based titles, WORLD'S FINEST, and THE WORLD'S GREATEST SUPERHEROES comic strip.
