DescriptionSo, Batman. Once upon a time my great-grandmother would bring me Batman and Tarzan comics from the newsstand at the train station near her house and so this whole comic book thing began. You won't see much Batman in the collection but I've been keeping an eye out for something to commemorate the possibly stupid number of bat-books I've since read. Lee did a couple of versions of this one along the way - this one is the version that hit photoshop for the Bottleneck Gallery poster but there's an earlier version kicking around too. It's really just a big 16x23 bat logo! A nice design job incorporating elements from the movie and using the bats that were also a feature of the commercial posters at the time. Lee sent a copy of the finished poster along with the art so it's kinda cool to see how it ended up looking after a bit of digital magic.Social/Sharing |
