Description

When I was 14 years old, I wrote many artists asking for a sketch--many graciously complied, like Romita, Kane, and Barks (see my other artist gallery). Ellie Frazetta wrote back and said $50 would get a drawing--sight unseen...this was a HUGE amount in 1974, when a decent copy of Spidey #1 could be had for the same price...I sent the $50 and this is what she sent...I eventually sold it, and the buyer eventually sold it to my (now) good friend John Kelly...who recently sold it on Ebay.. what a buy at the time, and I really enjoyed the whole experience...and I haven't stopped in 34 years.
