Description

17" x 15". Original painting by Hal Ashmead in mixed media (tempera, acrylics, felt marker and graphite) on illustration board, circa 1970's. Published as a cover of in-flight magazine, American Way.

A dynamic space-exploration piece in large scale, from a painter better known for his depictions of voluptuous women on paperback-novel covers. An Ashmead hallmark of bold, expressionistic paint-daubing is prominent in the backgrounds.
