Description

In his over thirty-year career the great Magnus (pen name of Roberto Raviola, 1939-1996) created memorable characters: from Kriminal and Satanik to Gesebel and Dennis Cobb, from Maxmagnus to Alan Ford (all written by Luciano Secchi, aka Max Bunker), from Lo Sconosciuto and Milady 3000 to Necron (written by Ilaria Volpe, pen name of Mirka Martini)...
He has also given life to beautiful exotic stories, such as "Le Femmine Incantate" and "Le 110 Pillole", plus some compelling sagas, such as "I Briganti" and "La Compagnia della Forca", a hilarious medieval-fantasy adventure clearly inspired by Mario Monicelli's movie "The Incredible Army of Brancaleone" ("L'Armata Brancaleone", 1966) mixed up with a bit of Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" :)
This is page 58 from the 4th issue of the latter series, created by Magnus in 1977 together with his historic assistant/inker and fraternal friend Giovanni Romanini.
