Description
Here’s a great cover from the comic adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, one of my favorite book series of all time. Stephen King wove a masterful tale of the last Gunslinger and his Ka-Tet as they fight against the Man in Black and the Crimson King. The comic series from Marvel has been telling the story a little differently, but not radically so like the movie did. But I love the characters and the world so much and have been wanting something really nice for a while, and the stars aligned and I managed to win this. This is the cover to The Dark Tower, The Drawing of the Three: The Sailor #4 by the incredible Jay Anacleto, and features all 4 main characters of the Ka-Tet. (this is before they find Oy, the Billy Bumbler, who totally counts as the 5th member) Shown on the cover are Roland Deschain (the last Gunslinger and last of the line of Eld) Jake Chambers, Eddie Dean, and Odetta Holmes/Detta Walker (split personalities who later merge into Susannah Dean, Eddie's wife). Jay is a master of the pencil and this piece is absolutely amazing! I have several published Dark Tower pieces, but this is my first cover from the series and I am thrilled to own it!

I love the stark white contrast of the door versus the surrounding fully rendered art. Great piece!
