Description

I bought the pictured page at the NY Comic Art Expo at the Penn Hotel from Frank Giella on May 6th. Thanks, Frank! I managed to get it from NYC to Foxboro, MA without issue, but fumbled as I was crossing the goal line - boarding my plane to Houston/home. :(

I was waiting at the gate with my bag and this page when I got a call. I picked up my back to talk to the client and forgot to pickup the art. I didn't even recall that I'd left it until two hours into the flight.

So, here are the critical details: I lost this on Friday, 11 May 2018, at Boston's Logan Airport in Terminal B at Gate 20 at 1:25pm.

I've contacted both the Massport and United Lost and Founds without success. My fear is the cleaning crew threw it away. :(

If it should turn up, please let me know.In my defense, I'd been on the road for six consecutive weeks and I was much more exhausted than I thought. :(

Hah! The Houston Texans never stand a chance in Foxborough. That was your first mistake. (We are still laughing about the varsity jackets.)

Kidding aside, that is a gorgeous page and it breaks my heart to know that you lost it. I hope by some miracle you get it back. Late last year I left a really nice Eduardo Risso page in the back of an Uber but thankfully I was able to get it back. I gave the driver a nice tip.

Earlier this year I left a pair of Bose wireless Bluetooth headphones, still shrink-wrapped in their box, in the airport in Salt Lake City. Thankfully American Express paid for a replacement pair. Unfortunately, art is irreplaceable. And the biggest concern is not that somebody else is enjoying it but rather that it was simply discarded.

When I see pages like this, I'm reminded of how much sheer drawing talent those old, almost forgotten guys had. Fantastic page with gorgeous inking.
