DescriptionOctober, 1985.Jack Kirby´s last Cover and the Super Powers‘ final battle against Darkseid. This is a very old dream of mine finally come true. This piece means so much to me. I love the King´s art, I love all his Fourth World creations, especially his Apokolips characters and as a kid of the 80´s I love the Super Powers. (Plus Batman is on the Cover...:-) For publication Greg Theakston light boxed Kirby´s pencils and inked onto Vellum. He changed a lot of details with his inks, mainly to match the models of the toyline (Thanks Anthony) If anyone knows where the inks to find please let me know, I´m very interested! Amazing cover! I’ve lusted after it a few years, since John Bryne first opened up his vault. If you look at other pages from the book, Jack was not consistent when drawing several of the characters. I think Greg was trying to redraw the characters on model with the toy line.

Gorgeous pencils by the King himself. Even at the back end of his career, Jack still had it. This one's a keeper!
