Description
This page was published in June 1963, penciled by Carmine Infantino and inked by Joe Giella.

From the story entitled "Vengeance Of The Immortal Villain". Barry's trip to Earth-2 to visit Jay Garrick suddenly finds both Flashes battling Vandal Savage, who has already captured six members of The Justice Society. The end of this story finds the Justice Society coming out of retirement, as shown on this page.

The 43 that is affixed just below the bottom panel was placed there by legendary fan Jerry Bails to inventory his collection of art. Jerry's name and address have been stamped on the back and I have attached an additional image showing that.

Update - I asked Joe Giella to autograph this page at the 2019 Heroes Con but after taking a close look at it, he was quite sure that he didn't ink it despite what the credits state. It may be that Joe inked most of this issue but deadline considerations required someone else to step in and help on a few pages. That was a common practice.

Only half a page, but still killer!  Really like the JSA stuff from the early Silver Age.  Something about it was just so of-the-time and cool.
