Description

Next up in the 27B designs is Storm Lord, my take on Lightning Lad.

The Legion analog for 27B is called the Vanguard of Tomorrow. Most of them are based off of folk tales, legends, and fairy tales in a way. The future they exist in is a techno organic one, an Earth where technology and nature exist side by side in a harmonious, symbiotic nature. The founders of the Vanguard besides Storm Lord are Magno King (Cosmic Boy) and Titan Queen (Saturn Girl). Of course Storm Lord and Titan Queen are lovers in this world too, as noted by the Saturn pendant around his neck.

Storm Lord lives on a version of Winath that was colonized by Australian Aboriginals, which is why he has dark skin. I'm working out the details for the Lightning Lass, equivalent, but their older brother is still a villain in this universe and a member of the Entropy Brigade. In his case, he attempted to gain more power from the lightning beasts and he ended up mutating into a half-beast form.

The costume was inspired from Thunderlord of the Global Guardians (the character was originally going to called Thunder Lord) and Storm Boy from the Justice League of Earth.

The symbol is a combined "V" and "T" with a five pointed star.
