Black Panther by Eddy Barrows

An incredible Black Panther commission from Eddy Barrows done during the Easter Facts 2018 festival.

I have loved Eddy's art long before he exploded on his run on Detective Comics were everyone seemingly took notice (and rightly so). When I first commissioned him, I thought Venom would be an excellent choice as his art possesses a vicious aspect. And I was perfectly right as you can see from the Venom commission in this very gallery.

But A Black Panther was also in my mind at the time even though I was not 100% sure it would be a good fit. Then we Eddy was announced at Facts 2018, I knew I had to go for it and was I not disappointed.

For me this one is close to perfection. I love the pose, the jungle setting (which I requested) and the rendition. It’s difficult to grasp how much Eddy can achieve with those copic markers.

A dangerous BP on the prowl and you don’t want to be his prey.
