DescriptionAfter working on DC's romance line for years (Falling in Love, Girls' Love Stories, Girls' Romances, Secret Hearts, and Young Romance), doing a wonderful job on Supergirl and Wonder Woman story for The Brave and the Bold #63, then a long run on Lois Lane, Rosenberger was finally assigned to a "First Line character" at DC. He took over the art chores from Curt Swan on Wonder Woman beginning with issue 215.And then... Rosenberger suffered a heart attack on April 22, 1976, and took about two months off to recover. In August he was diagnosed with cancer, and he died on January 24, 1977, at the age of 58. He only completed two issues of Wonder Woman. His last work was for Wonder Woman #217 (April–May 1975), and there he only penciled the first four pages before taking ill. Subsequently, this issue was redrawn completely by Dick Dillin. This is page 3 of the 4 Rosenberger pages, which were later published in The Amazing World of DC Comics #15 (Aug. 1977). Social/Sharing |
