Description
Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing (July 20, 1969), so a great time to post this twice-up Space Moon cover....

In 1958, Charlton published this ground-breaking sci-fi story “First Trip to the Moon” in Space Adventures #23... over a decade before Neil Armstrong walked on the moon! The Space Moon cover captures our fascination with space exploration and the historic moon landing. Art by Charles Nicholas and Vincent Alascia.

Love it, love it, love it!  You're right, this image really captures the fascination and excitement of traveling to the moon.  Makes me wanna don my space suit and get out there myself! :)

Awesome sci-fi cover from a time when a moon landing was much more fantasy than science!  Congrats Dino!

I love pre-lunar landing sci-fi pieces and this is a stellar cover. If I could this genre would make up a large part of my collection. I was thrilled when I got my Space Man piece for this reason.
