Description
Well, observers of this gallery may recall I once had a cool Ringo page of Flash v Captain Cold. I traded that beauty away for this page since it features a character I actually co-created for DC with Mark Waid for Flash Annual #6-- the immortal ARGUS. Part of the Bloodlines promotion, Argus was our attempt to give DC a kind of Daredevil analog. Imagine my fannish elation at seeing not only Ringo, but Alan Davis (cover) and Jose Luis Garcia Lopez (promo poster) render the character I designed. Owning this page recaptures some of that thrill.

Fun fact: I almost owned the cover to this issue, too. It was posted on a craigslist ad for $100 by some fellows who had no idea what it was. When I attempted to buy it, I told them I would feel terrible giving them any less than 300 (this was many moons ago). I guess that was enough info to tell them they should hang onto it, so I went away empty handed. Alas, the good samaritan is thwarted!

Really nice page from one of my favorite art teams! Also, I never would have thought to look for comic art on craigslist. And I would have taken that cover from those fools. I would have felt bad about it afterwards, but I'd wipe away my sadness with original Flash cover art.
