Description

For reasons not worth delving into, I ended up with two commissioned reinterpretations of page 5 from my beloved Marvel Two in One 76. Page 5 is notable for telling the origin of Maynard Tiboldt - aka the Ringmaster - and his Circus of Crime. As you can see, it is a tragic tale of the Circus of Crime gaining and then losing the upper hand versus Spider-Man, Hulk and Daredevil.

Pencils here are by Howard Bender (Action Comics, Dial H for Hero, Micronauts) with finished inks by Bob Almond (Black Panther, Infinity Watch).

I have had that same scenario, two diff artists taking on the same project. I see them as "varient" covers but I find it fascinating how each interpert the story-line

I am a bit surprised by Bob's inks in this usually he uses a bit more blacks.Interesting reinterpertation.
