Update: I love the way Bill Anderson's inks make this page sing. Thanks for the great work, Bill!
Previously...
This continues my series of commissions in which artists re-interpret entire panel pages from Marvel Two in One 76 (the first comic I ever bought as a kid) in their style, using only a re-created script and reference images to work from.
For this particular page, Chris Marrinan gives his take on the encounter between Iceman and an anonymous stilt walker from the Ringmaster's Circus of Crime swinging a wrecking ball on the end of a chain. "Have a nice trip", indeed!
To the best of my knowledge, this is the first and only appearance of the stilt walker, making it a challenge to provide Chris with reference without revealing the art from the printed comic. I really like the circus carny look that Chris came up with. And the rest of the page, for that matter.
My thanks to Chris once again for being such a great artist to deal with.
