Description
I don't think there is another comic series that had as much of an impact on my life as Love and Rockets did. I remember flipping though issue 22 when I was 15 or 16 and I had been so blown away just by what I saw standing there in the comic store that I felt like I wasn't ready to process a book so mature. When 31 came out, I just could not resist this cover and picked up my first issue. I was in my late teens, probably the same age as Maggie, and the next day after having read it I went to every comic store within a 50 mile radius and bought every Love and Rockets related book I could find. I consider the Hernandez brothers two of the greatest comic creators in our hobby and I am beyond thrilled to have this cover in my collection - a holy grail of mine for sure. Thanks Ben.

Holy smokes, talk about an all-time classic!  Before I ever owned a piece of Jaime's original art, I went through all the issues and made a wish list of my favorite covers, and this was right there... what a great era of L&R.  I bet the original looks absolutely incredible--so huge congrats!

Love this cover! I couldn't believe I was lucky enough just to pick up a signed and numbered print after missing out when they were first offered.

When I saw this cover in the wall in the comic shop back in the 80s, it made me immediately want to pick up L&R. From this issue onward, I bought and read every issue of the first series (1982-1995) and never looked back. I had ready the Mechanics mini-series and a reprint of issue 1 that intrigued me, but the cover of issue 31 embedded Maggie and Hopy in my unconscious mind forever. I still think about this cove now and again. I've had dreams of walking up to the back of that Pinto and asking them if they knew of any good bars or local haunts in SoCal.
