Description
Picked this beauty up at the Baltimore Comic Con and had Simon (also at the con) do a quick little mod to it so it would be a little more viewer friendly. (The original was not work safe.) And, now it is proudly on display in my home!

I couldn't resist this piece when I first laid eyes on it. Simon's pencils are unparalleled! In my honest opinion, his pencils are on par with Frazetta - and that's the highest compliment I can give any artist! And I know, some might frown at the idea of modifying a piece from it's original vision, but years ago, Ellie Frazetta told me, "You own it! You can do whatever you want with it!" -And I decided to take her advice to heart. Luckily, Simon was kind enough to indulge my request and I couldn't be happier with the final result!!

Of course I would've kept the piece as it originally was ;) But it still is an amazing one, congrats!

Thanks! I have to admit, I was a bit torn with having it modified. However, for me, it was the difference of it being in a portfolio and rarely seeing the light of day, or modifying it, and putting it on display in my home. Personally, I try to display most of my artwork when possible. Gladly, I can say, I have this on display in my home office now, and I enjoy it on a daily basis (versus hidden away in a portfolio). :)

Very beautiful and I totally agree. It's yours to do with whatever you want. You can give it to your child to colour with crayons if you wish but don't do that it would make me very sad.

Hahahaha! Ok. I won't give it to my daughter to color (although she would very much like to!). I don't want to make you sad. :)
