Description

�� The book Two-Fisted Science is written and published by Jim Ottaviani. The artist contributors are Donna Barr, Scott Roberts, Sean Bieri, Bernie Mireault, Rob Walton, David Lasky, Mark Badger, Scott Saavedra, Colleen Doran, Lin Lucas, and Steve Lieber. Jim signed my copy in 1999. Steve Lieber signed the book with a sketch of Niels Bohr at the Alternative Press Expo in February 2001. He suggested no other artist at the con could do Niels Bohr from memory. Jim's early books like Dignifying Science were published by his own GT Labs imprint. Since then, he's found a good home at First Second Books for the new age of the graphic novel. Look for Feynman with Leland Myrick, Primates with Maris Wicks, and the upcoming Hawking with Leland Myrick.

�� Steve Lieber is a contributor to the San Diego Comic-Con Toucan blog. They provide this biography: "Steve Lieber studied art at the Joe Kubert School. His comics and illustration have been published by DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, Image, Dupuis, Scholastic, and many other publishers, but he's best known for his work on Whiteout, a graphic novel adapted by Warner Brothers as a feature starring Kate Beckinsale. His current project is The Fix, a crime comedy at Image Comics. His various projects have received ten Eisner Award nominations, and he won the Eisner for Best Limited Series for Whiteout Volume 2: Melt. Steve's a founding member of Helioscope, the largest studio of comic book artists in North America. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, the novelist Sara Ryan."
