DescriptionIt is interesting to see how Marvel continued to believe in and promote Dr. Strange over the years since his creation in 1963. From the early Ditko creations and manifestations in Strange Tales to the continuing updates with Adkins, Everett, and Colan in the later 1960s, Marvel correctly surmised that Dr. Strange could be a stand-alone character with the right exposure and following. With the resurgence of his popularity in the early 1970s from his membership in the Defenders and with the Marvel Premiere solo storylines, he finally achieved his own title in the mid-1970s.This page is from Frank Brunner's first run with Dr. Strange in Marvel Premiere before Marvel launched Dr. Strange with his own title. Frank was really starting to hit his stride here with interesting compositions and panel layouts. Social/Sharing |

Exceptional page wth a full-figure Dr. Strange and a Hitchcock-worthy, nightmare-inducing bottom panel!

These issues were a great showcase of Brunner's ambition and swift progress as an artist... and this is a perfect example of both. Too cool!

Brunner's imagery and layout is very creative and interesting and this is a fine example why this comic was such an amazing read back in the day.

Strange I have not commented on this page before. Brunner's run on Dr. Strange was a defining moment in the history of the character. Excellent example you have here!
