DescriptionLike the more recent series, "Spidey," "Untold Tales of Spider-Man" presented new stories set in Spider-Man's early super-hero career.For "Untold Tales," the gimmick was offering the issues for 99 cents each, in an attempt to attract new, young readers who might have been put off by the then $1.50/$1.95 standard prices for comic books. Which is pretty ironic considering that comic books are now $3.99. Damn you, inflation !! But anyway, I loved the "Untold Tales" series, and I thought Olliffe's artistic style was perfect for it. In this particular book, Spidey faces off against Commanda, who made her 1st appearance in the previous issue. You can almost hear her yelling, “You there! Bug boy! You will remain upon the ground GROVELING amongst the dirt and grime until you FIND MY CONTACT LENS!!” Haha, jk. I have also attached a pic of the cover with a plastic title overlay. Social/Sharing |
