Lobster Johnson, probably my favourite Mignola character. When this came up for auction I just had to have it. As a stand-alone character piece this has everything I love about Mike's art. The flat blacks of the comic page are great but the gradation in the solid areas give this a lovely sense of depth and definition. Not aware that it was ever published anywhere but if you know better, let me know. And beware the mark of the Claw!

Finally got around to scanning the extra Mignola sketch which is on the reverse of LJ. It's a pencil drawing of The Batman in his 'Gotham by Gaslight' garb. A pretty cool bonus!

Great bonus sketch, it would be cool to see Mike revisit Batman, but as a Lobster Johnson crossover
