DescriptionWhen the Ultimate Spider-Man #60 cover came up in a ComicLink auction, I missed out on it.I don't know why ... I went temporarily insane I guess. Being a huge Carnage fan, after kicking myself numerous times, I made a number of offers to the winner, but sadly to no avail. But then I got the opportunity to buy the cover to issue #62. Although issue #60 was the 1st *cover* appearance of Ultimate Carnage and is ultra-cool, the cover only has his upper body. Even the issue #61 cover (though also very cool) only shows his tendrils as they strangle Spidey up against the wall. I really love that the #62 cover features the first full-body cover image of the character. Plus, issue #62 also features the 1st ever interior appearance of Carnage. So, I guess things worked out pretty well after all. Thank you so much, Eric, for parting with this one. Social/Sharing |

Thank you for mentioning Gwen. That is really the crux of Ultimate Carnage, isn't it. In the Ultimate Universe, Carnage is the reason why Gwen dies, not the Green Goblin.

USM was such a refreshing take on Spidey. All familiar characters and stories but with some "ultimate" twists. Sweet cover!
