Description
Rare Cracked Magazine art by Daniel Clowes (written by Peter Bagge) from issue #220 published in 1986. This is Page 2 of a complete 2 page story I own, with acetate text overlays. Pen and ink on paper, each page is 16 x 21 inches. The publisher was repulsed by Dan’s art and banned him from Cracked, but Dan continued to contribute under the absurd moniker “Stash Gillespie”. This story was reprinted in 1992 for Fantagraphics “Different Beat Comics #1”. It was then republished in “Hate Jamboree #1 pages 34 & 35, in 1998.

Such a cultural artifact! Just as true today as it was back then. Congrats on getting this piece!
