Description

My introduction to Marshall Rogers was with the amazing Stern/Rogers/Austin Doctor Strange run, and I was an instant fan.  For awhile there, those pages were affordable, while his Batman pages always felt outta reach.  So, I had to go with an unpublished Batman page from Archie Goodwin's last outing (really miss Archie stories).  On this one, Batman goes all Rambo/M60 on Col. Brass’s mercs which was an added bonus, but I'm guessing the obvious reason it was changed for publication.
Oversized art from 2000 - 13x19.

Great pick-up!  I saw this when it became available on the market and waited too late to pull the trigger (no pun intended)!  Congrats!

Yowza! What a phenomenal Batman page by Marshall Rogers! I can see why DC didn't want to publish it, but still--It's so cool! That second panel with Batman holding that massive M60 machine gun with the long ammunition belt is killer! Bohy, seeing that go into action would go against all Batman's inhibitions about killing--And isn't that the whole idea here?  Marshall Rogers was one of those artists who isn't fully appreciated by fandom, but he was one of the best ever, IMHO. I love the composition of this page and that power of Roger's drawing. Every panel here is beautifully composed and masterfully pencilled. What a great addition to your most excellent collection!
