Beast (Hank McCoy) by Brent Anderson ca 1988

      I read the X-Men graphic novel God Loves, Man Kills and a few other comics drawn by Northern California artist Brent Anderson. The artist is on a long run with writer and creator Kurt Busiek and the Astro City series. This is one of my earliest art purchases around 1988. Brent offered the pencil prelims for only a few dollars. This drawing of a furry Beast was drawn on the back of a typed page. I realize the furry Beast became an Avenger, but I always I think of him as one of the original X-Men from the first Stan Lee and Jack Kirby issue. My favorite issues are the Roy Thomas and Werner Roth run.
