Description
"Try as they will, and try as they might, who steals me gold won't live through the night."

This 13" x 19" original drawing in watercolor brush and India ink by freelance illustrator Jared Moraitis was used to create officially licensed Leprechaun (1993) T-shirts and hoodies for the New York-based clothing company Fright-Rags. The inked artwork was later digitally colored in Photoshop to produce the final printed design.

The cult-movie villain is seen here dressed in his costume ensemble from the first entry in the franchise, giddily counting his cursed coins, their "head" sides appearing as skulls to evoke those who dared try to make off with the Leprechaun's gold shillings.

An unused layout concept design featuring the entire cast of the original film was also submitted for approval, but Fright-Rags nixed the idea in favor of this simpler, more impactful approach.

Warwick Davis plays the murderous, limerick-rhyming Leprechaun in the eponymous 1993 horror-comedy, which marked Jennifer Aniston's big-screen debut. The series has since spawned seven sequels and counting.
