We're getting around to framing some of the art that we picked up last year. Here's one of those pieces. By Lawrence Sterne Stevens, this appeared in the May 1950 issue of the pulp, Startling Stories, where it illustrated "Wine of the Dreamers" by John D. MacDonald.

"Hubba hubba hubba" doesn't really seem to cover this one. The technique on display in this vintage illustration is dazzling.
