12/1/1963 Bob Leffingwell Ze Gen'ral Sunday Comic-Strip Topper Original Art (News Syndicate Co., 1963 ). Leffingwell's gag strip served as a companion-feature (or topper) to his brother Ed Leffingwell's Little Joe, a Western comic -- both artists emulated the Little Orphan Annie style of their cousin, Harold Gray, and both worked as assistants to Gray on Annie. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 20.5" x 4.5". Light toning. Excellent condition. From the Ray Edw Collection.
