Really like the subdued reds in the costume here. Maleev is a watercolor master! Congrats!

Thanks! He really is a watercolor master. Actually found out when getting this commission that he doesn't like drawing Spider-Man because of the webbing on the suit. He made a deal with me that he would draw Spider-Man as long as he got to pick the suit...which I agreed to in a heartbeat. He ended up doing some of the webbing on the suit anyway...I like to attribute it to helping him figure out a character for a commission he was working on and this was sort of his way of paying me back for the help.

Right on, man! Reciprocity is good, especially when it comes to art! And I know what you’re saying about Maleev and Spidey. I have a rare Spidey piece done by him...cuz that’s what he told me! I didn’t know he didn’t care for drawing the character very much so when I saw the pre done piece and realized that...took that baby home!
