Here's a glorious Jack Davis aviation page from Aces High. This was one of the rare and happy times when I was able to select my favorite page from a story that was being broken up (it's likely that the splash wasn't available, if memory serves). I opened up the comic and it was an easy choice. Davis exceeds all expectations here in composition and rendering. Alrighty, time to refill my prescription of anti-hype meds.

Drake, I have no idea how I have not stumbled upon this work of art sooner? Wow- just a fantastic Davis piece from his golden era of E.C.! Love all the nook and crannies he squeezes in each panel. Long Live the King of crosshatching, Long Live Davis!
