Beautiful painting by Floyd. I regret passing up on a similar one at Mouse-Con a few years ago. Maybe it was this one?! I did have Floyd sketch an Aurora and Batgirl for my wife and daughter, respectively. You're lucky to have this!

I don't think it was this one, as Floyd did it for us along with a "Monsters Inc" sketch of Mike and Sully (that I'll post when I have the chance). But I've seen some of Norman's commissions are very similar in layout and composition to older ones... I always guessed that he may use stills from the films or other images as a reference and some may be used several times, but I don't know :)

You're likely correct. When I asked Floyd for a sketch of Aurora I showed him a reference from my iPhone and he drew an exact copy, with his touch of course. So what you say makes sense. So did Floyd do this for you "on the spot at a convention" or was this an at-home commission?

It was one of the "at home" commissions, yep :)
