Here's one of the iconic sequences from Don McGregor and Billy Graham's Klan storyline from the Black Panther series (Jungle Action) in 1975. "The Irreverent" Billy Graham is greatly underrated in my view, and I'd really like some more examples of his fine work.

Thanks to Dan Forman for the second chance to own this, after I passed on bidding it up on ebay a while back, and it sold to a dealer who tripled the price. "The Panther vs. the Klan" was a memorable storyline from my childhood, and this page is one that definitely made an impression on me as a boy.

Flowing the build-up pages down the left hand side of the page allowed me to open up wide with a powerful image of racism hung like the balanced scales of the statue of justice. This takes nothing away from Billy, because he had to pull these visuals off, and they were demanding from the get go." - Don McGregor

Buying these off the stands as a kid, I always loved this series, particularly the Graham stories. He's often overlooked, but this page is a fantastic example of why he should be in the discussion of the best of the Marvel bronze age artists.

An unbelievably nice spread... these are some of my favorite kinds of pieces. Got the panels for some storytelling on the left as well as the big BP splash vs. the Klan on the right! Some dark, bold inks, too, by McLeod. Congrats!

You have an outstanding Billy Graham Black Panther collection. This DPS is my favorite, with the Panther being crucified a close second.

Absolutely phenomenal Jungle Action DPS from the great Billy Graham! Graham was one of the first Black artists hired by Marvel and his work still stands the test of time. I own the first cover he drew, for Luke Cage, Hero for Hire #3, and I spent a lot of time studying his work and his career. He was a phenom, breaking into the big time at Warren Publishing, then moving to Marvel and helping develop Luke Cage, then moving off that title to work on Jungle Action where he helped develop the Black Panther. Unbelievably, after making it as a comic artist, he moved to LA to pursue a film career. But he was a helluva artist while he was at Marvel. This DPS shows his talent was off the charts!
