Now THAT'S Elektra! More than makes up for the visual stiffness of the other pic! Let's see more paintings like THIS, kid! :D

Hey, I completely agree that this piece is EXCELLENT, but I don't agree with the stiffness at all in that other Elektra ("Free") piece! I think if you are going to take the time to send someone praise-why add in a shot about another piece-that just seems rather pointless to me! Well, I think both pieces Rock- Great job Rob!

Why not compare two illustrations of the same subject by the same artist if you feel one works and the other could be better? That's the whole idea behind constructive criticism and the reason for this comments section, I thought. Simply lavishing praise on someone and never pointing out how they might improve their work may be "nice," but ultimately doesn't help them. I think it's nicer to let someone know if you think they can do better. Rob's a big boy... he may not agree with some criticism, but he can handle it. :)

Well, I surely can't argue with you in the fact that in a comparison there is always a Great opportunity to grow and learn, but I just don't agree with your critique about the other piece being stiff! I guess then it would be safe for us to agree to disagree on this one, but I'd also like to point out that in the controversy of such conversation...it would make it an interesting piece nonetheless by default or upon its own-I mean look at all the attention it is getting-stiff or not : ) So maybe not a technical masterpiece in your view, but still an interesting piece in mine!

But tell me my friend WHY make a POSITIVE comment, and then throw in a NEGATIVE one while you're at it? As i said before I can sit here and take apart EVERY single artists work that I have posted on my site, but it's unecessary. . .because YOU or anybody else did your pieces the way YOU wanted to. . . . . I mean the Batman, Superman, Iron Fist pieces are TECHNICALLY nice, but personally i could stand to see those characters in MUCH more extreme or dynamic angles instead of looking like they posed for a full body picture , but see that's MY thing. . . . . because art is expression my friend. . .and doesn't ALWAYS hafta be looked at and scrutinized. . .

. . .i'm well aware of the skillz i have and what i'm capable of, they wont ALL be homeruns, but I've been in the game for a LONG time son. . .if you take a look at an artist named ERNIE BARNES or JUSTIN BUA I'm sure you can sit there and look at the way they draw figures and say "well the arms are TOO long or the figures torso is TOO distorted. .. but who gives a F#%K?! Does the piece make you feel good? Do you like it visually? Does it capture the essence of the character?. . . . "STIFF". . . . THAT'S IT? Come ON bro. . . . oh yeah and Dick Chaney is punk ta boot as well!!!
