Description

In 2004, I commissioned Mike Grell for a pencil drawing of the Legion, based off of the layout to Inhumans #8. Mike did a great job, and you can see the pencil art in my gallery.

I wanted to keep the pencils intact, but also see what this would look like inked, so I asked Bob McLeod to lightbox and ink it in 2005. I also asked for a few minor changes, such as moving Shrinking Violet to Colossal Boy's shoulder.

Bob did an amazing job and this came out looking like a publication worthy cover. Apparently I wasn't the only one who felt this way as TwoMorrows used the art (with permission) for the cover to Back Issue Magazine #14 (February 2006).
